It was from a rooftop – when he was supposed to be at war – that the “man of God’s own heart” crashed as bad as it gets. He committed adultery and attempted to cover it up with murder.
Jesus was a warrior. Paul was a warrior. They knew their Purpose and their weapon was Truth. They used Truth to war against darkness and drive it out.
The reason we have a porn epidemic is because too many of us have been Rooftop Christians. We don’t understand our Purpose just like David lost sight of his.
We are Jesus’ replacements! That is our Purpose! He gave us His example to follow!
Sadly, the success of the American Dream has softened all of us. We listen to the lies of the enemy and believe it is the pastor’s and missionary’s job to “spread the truth” – because we “didn’t get called to ministry”.
If you think you may have been living on the roof – Get off it! Take up the sword of Truth and get in the battle. Because “You will never do on the battlefield what you might be willing to do on the rooftop”.
“But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of the Lord” 2 Samuel 11:27
Take your sin very seriously. It cost David dearly.

Great message. Reminds me of “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself!” Like were ever going to have every awnser or thought everytime, ha were not God, He calls us to plant the seed and gives us everything we need to do that one job. The past few years I’ve talked to more people about God, and Jesus love for us, than I have in the past 30+ years of my life. I see God working not myself.
